The eight month long rigourous legal battle between Bollywood filmmaker Kunal Kohli and Jyoti Kapoor over script copyright issue, finally came to a close on July 20, 2015 as the Supreme Court landed its final verdict that indeed there were similarities between the scripts of  Kunal Kohli's upcoming film 'Phir Se' and Jyoti's script of 'RSVP'

Reportedly, as per the court's verdict, Kunal Kohli will pay Jyoti Kapoor a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs and also credit for story idea.

Further, Kunal said that he was happy that the case was finally over and now he can focus on the release of his film. "The judges asked us to go for a settlement and I agreed, as I don't believe in fighting with members of my fraternity. Judges felt that creative people should settle to promote creativity and culture. Case is finally over. Release date to be announced soon," tweeted Kunal.
