Bollywood filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor who made the super hit movie 'Rock On' is all set with his next directorial film 'Kai Po Che'. Based on Chetan Bhagat's novel 'The 3 Mistakes of my Life', the film is about three youngsters and their twisted life.
Though the plot has been lifted from the book, Abhishek exclaims that the film was difficult to make. "After I read the story, I felt that it is a good story and a film should be made on this. But it was not easy. To adapt a popular book into a film is an altogether different process. When you write a book, you can go into any direction. But a script's trajectory is totally different," said Abhishek.
He revealed that it took him a lot of time to put everything together. "It has been a difficult film to make and it took me more than two years to put this story together," added Kapoor.
The shooting of the film was recently wrapped up and Abhishek is a happy man with the final result. "I think it was very important for me to make this movie, especially because it has got newcomers. Above everything else, I think it is a very important story to tell. All in all, it has been a great experience and very satisfying to not have to go after stars to make the movie," stated Abhishek.
Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amit Sadh, the movie will release on February 22, 2013.
