(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kat Von D and Jesse James have split for the second time this year.

The pair rekindled their relationship last month, after calling off their engagement in July.

Kat took to her Facebook page to detail her current status.

"I am not in a relationship," she wrote "And I apologise for all the 'back and forth' if it's caused any confusion."

Kat has confirmed why she split from Jesse. The tattoo artist told People magazine that the relationship wasn't going in the direction she'd hoped.

"It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life," she confirmed to People magazine. "My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it's important to know your value and never lose sight of that.

"I wish Jesse nothing but the best in life and in love."

Jesse split from his wife Sandra Bullock earlier this year, after a string of women alleged he had affairs with them while married. When he got back together with Kat last month, Jesse said; "Sometimes you are only given one chance in life, I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her."

Kat has suggested that Jesse's behaviour led to the split. She took to her Twitter page to write a cryptic message about the 42-year-old reality TV personality.

"As much as I dislike being wrong, I must admit this time I was. #noregrets (sic)" she wrote.

The couple had been planning a summer wedding before their first split in July. A month later, Kat's reality show L.A. Ink was cancelled.

Despite the professional setback, the raven-haired star was on a personal high because the engagement was back on. (C) Cover Media
