Kate Moss had Hince romance blessed

18th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Moss has claimed her and Jamie Hinces Sicilian church ceremony was a blessing, not a wedding.

News of a marriage between supermodel Kate and musician Jamie, guitarist with rock group The Kills, surfaced on Friday when British newspaper The Daily Mirror revealed they had wed in an intimate ceremony on the Italian island of Sicily back in August.

However, it has now been reported that Kate opted for a paperless wedding, meaning she and Jamie arent officially married. It has been suggested Kate went for a blessing over a traditional wedding after being encouraged to do so by her rock star pal Sir Mick Jagger, who had his marriage to model Jerry Hall annulled nine years later on the grounds their Hindu ceremony wasnt legally binding.

"When Jamie proposed, she accepted - but only after giving it a great deal of thought. She was adamant the wedding would be totally secret and very boho. Mick once joked to her that blessings were the way to go because they meant no loss of independence - financial or otherwise, a source told The Daily Mirror. Kate told Jamie their wedding would be as traditional and sacred as any other wedding, which is why they exchanged rings. There just wouldn't be as much paperwork.

Kate and Jamie have been in a relationship since 2007, and are thought to be very much in love. Kate dislikes the public knowing too much about her love life, and was determined to stop people finding out about her romantic summer ceremony.

Kate would go to any lengths to ensure it was covered up, added the source. (C) Cover Media
