(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katherine Heigl wants to adopt again.

Helping children who haven't got a stable, happy homelife has always been the actress' life plan.

The One For The Money star and her husband Josh Kelley always knew they would give a child a home and are now parents to three-year-old adopted daughter, Naleigh.

"Josh and I started talking about it before we were even engaged," she told Scholastic Parent & Childs February issue. "We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first. I'd like to adopt again."

The 33-year-old knows that not all adults find the idea of welcoming a non-biological child appealing.

Josh initially had to come round to the idea, so Katherine was surprised when he bonded with Naleigh faster than she did.

The blonde beauty described how the toddler has turned into a complete daddy's girl.

"Anyone who doesn't have experience with adoption wonders, Does love for a child come through DNA?' I knew it didn't. They're yours. You love them the moment they're put into your arms. Josh had to learn that, but he was so gracious and accepting," she said. "[Naleigh] felt really comfortable with Josh and they bonded quickly. It was harder for me. It was a struggle for me because all I wanted to do was bond with her. But it takes time for a child to trust this new situation and to trust you. He'll get on the floor and roll around and make her laugh." (C) Cover Media
