(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry and John Mayer "held hands across a table" during a date last night.

The two stars were linked late last week and yesterday they enjoyed a meal at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.

They pair didn't rush their food and appeared to be enjoying each other's company.

"[They were] holding hands across the table," a source told Us Weekly, adding they were also kissing and giggling together.

The pair left in the same car, with John driving and Katy sitting in the front passenger seat.

The two were first seen on a date on Friday, when they went to Soho House in West Hollywood.

The following evening John was a guest at Katy's home, where it's claimed they ate pizza.

"They're just hooking up right now," a source explained. "It's not serious yet!"

Katy is single following her recent divorce from Russell Brand, while John has previously dated stars including Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston. (C) Cover Media
