(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry has joked that she wanted to "burn the sheets"� after reading Russell Brand's autobiography.

Pop star Katy and British funnyman Russell began dating towards the end of last year. They are now engaged and are believed to be marrying in an Indian ceremony later this year.

The actor-and-comedian documented his battle with sex and drug addiction in his 2007 memoir, My Booky Wook, and Katy admits that she was left surprised when she began reading it.

Katy has revealed that her initial reaction to reading about her partner's former womanising ways was "Burn the sheets!"

She went on to explain that she never finished reading the autobiography, as she decided she would rather hear about her boyfriend's anecdotes in person.

"I only got halfway through it. Here I am hanging out with this guy and reading his book - this is too much,"Katy added. "I decided why you don't tell me some stories?"

The pop star was with Russell while he was writing the follow-up to My Booky Wook, and says there are even wilder antics for his fans to read about.

"You should check out Booky Wook 2, it's full on still," Katy revealed.

Katy went on to reveal she loves a man who is powerful and takes control in the relationship.

"A woman likes to be swept off her feet in a very, like, romantic way - not like, you know, moved," she added. (C) Cover Media
