(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ke$ha thinks cracks and hisses are a fundamental part of any record.

The 23-year-old American singer shot to fame last year with her debut single Tik Tok, with music critics praising her innovative sound which highlights influences from a range of different musical genres.

Ke$ha has been vocal in her admiration for a variety of different recording artists in the past, ranging from Prince to Iggy Pop, and she refuses to listen to their tracks on any modern forms of technology as she thinks they sound better on vinyl.

I travel with a record player. I like to listen to them like they were meant to, with cracks and hisses, she told a BBC radio show. Thats my favourite part of my day.

The talented star admits things can get messy on her tour bus, because carrying a record player at all times isnt very practical. Ke$has lack of enthusiasm for modern technology extends to television too, as she claims to never watch it, although she isnt opposed to it.

One luxury item she is proud of is her impressive swimming pool. The star has bragged that she owns a high-tech pool at her US home, which is ideal for futuristic exercising.

I have a laser-beam pool, you swim in laser beams, she bragged. (C) Cover Media
