(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Clarkson has revealed her album release has been delayed.

The 28-year-old singer rose to fame after winning the first season of television series American Idol in 2002. The star has released four albums to date including her double-platinum debut album Thankful, her Grammy-Award winning album Breakaway, My December and her last album All I Ever Wanted.

The talented musician revealed on her Facebook page yesterday that her much-anticipated fifth studio album has been delayed until later this year.

I recently found out that my album wont be coming out until September. The album has been recorded, but I cant release it until then. I realise that is a long time, but thats the best time to release it apparently so Im sorry for the wait, but I promise you it sounds great! Kelly wrote.

Last month, Kelly revealed that the album "was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there's a little bit of a country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.

The songstress has also revealed her admiration for British star Adele. The 22-year-old Grammy winner has stormed the music industry recently. After an acclaimed performance at the 2011 BRIT Awards, the track Someone Like You went straight to number one in the UK, while the album also remained at number one. Kelly says the powerful ballad is the best song on the album.

On a brighter note, I purchased my Adele album at the Mansfield Best Buy and I love the album and their employees! My favorite song on the album so far is someone like you.....so good :) she wrote. (C) Cover Media
