Kim Kardashian: I married for love

2nd November 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian has blogged about the end of her marriage.

The 31-year-old reality star filed for divorce on Monday from basketball player husband Kris Humphries after just two months of marriage.

But since then she has received a barrage of negative attention that her marriage was a "hoax" and "publicity stunt" for money and ratings for her television shows.

However, Kim has hit back saying that she "married for love" and is sad that she is having to defend herself but acknowledges she made some poor decisions.

"I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people," she shared.

"Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon.

"I'm being honest here and I hope you respect my courage because this isn't easy to go through I accept full responsibility for my actions and decision, and for taking everyone on this journey with me. It just didn't turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for."

She also addressed allegations that she profited from her nuptials.

"There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding," she wrote. "These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.

"I'm so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I'll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation."

Sources have told TMZ that she plans to give the charity $200,000.

"I'm sorry if I have hurt anyone," she concluded. "But my dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am."

Kim is currently in Australia on a promotional tour while estranged husband Kris has cancelled an upcoming appearance at a Las Vegas nightclub on Saturday. (C) Cover Media
