(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian will receive a diamond-encrusted cake worth over $1 million at her New York birthday party on Saturday.

The reality television star turned 30 today, although her celebrations began early and will continue on until the weekend.

She celebrated with loved-ones at a lavish bash in Las Vegas last night, and is throwing a huge party at Glo Nightclub in Westbury, New York, on Saturday to prolong the festivities.

To mark the occasion, a jeweller in the city has joined forces with restaurateur Nino Selimaj to create a huge cake decorated in diamonds, reports RadarOnline.

The jeweller is going to encrust the cake with loose diamonds worth over $1 million, said Danielle Orsino, a Glo Nightclub spokesperson.

Their goal is to break the record for the most expensive cake ever made which was $1.65 million.

Nino is famous for his wacky food-related publicity stunts. In 2006, he retailed a pizza topped with luxury items such as caviar and lobster at his Manhattan restaurant for a whopping $1,000.

So far Kim seems to be enjoying her 30s, as she took to her Twitter account earlier today to express how much fun shes been having. Kim suggested shed been indulging in some flirtatious behaviour with handsome males.
