Superstar Rajinikanth will start shooting for his magnum opus Kochadaiyaan in London from today. On Saturday, he left for the United Kingdom in Chennai, after receiving wishes from his fans in Chennai.

Talking to reporters at Chennai airport, he said, 'Kochadaiyaan will hit the screens on Deepavali day. The film will be a wholesome treat to my fans. They can see a young, bubbly Rajini in this movie.'

Heaping laurels on his younger daughter Soundarya R Ashwin, who is directed the film, he said, 'She is a very talented filmmaker and I am sure that she would make Kochadaiyaan a best movie in all aspects.'

With story, screenplay, dialogues and direction-supervision by K S Ravikumar, Kochadaiyaan has Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Aadhi and Shobana in pivotal roles. Music is by A R Rahman.
