(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leighton Meester says watching men play with their hair is "too much to handle".

The actress appears in US teen drama Gossip Girl alongside Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick. The characters are renowned for their edgy style, which Leighton insists the boys care more about than the girls.

"The boys for sure!" she laughed, when asked who is more interested in hair and make-up. "And I can't watch it. I'm not just talking about the guys [on Gossip Girl]. I'm talking about any guys that are into their hair it's too much to handle!"

Portraying Blair Waldorf on the programme has made Leighton an instantly-recognisable actress. She's fine with that, although finds some of the rumours which circulate about her more difficult to handle.

"The weirdest thing is if I'm hanging out with a guy," she told Look magazine. "I have a male best friend of four years and everybody was saying that we were dating because we were hanging out. His girlfriend was like, What? What? What?'" (C) Cover Media
