(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leighton Meester's mother has claimed that her Gossip Girl actress daughter "hit her with a bottle".

In legal papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court, it is claimed Leighton was so crazed that she had to be pulled off her mother by her little brother during a fight in December last year.

Constance Meester has hit back at her daughter with the claims, who filed her own lawsuit against her last week.

Leighton alleges that her mother misappropriated money sent home to be used to help to take care of her younger brother Lex.

The 25-year-old actress is suing her mother because she said Constance used the cash, meant for her sibling, to instead get plastic surgery, Botox and hair extensions.

TMZ are reporting that according to the lawsuit, Leighton's mother refused to work.

But the actress felt so badly for Lex that she sent her mother $7,500 a month to provide for him as he is said to suffer from severe medical issues.

Constance's lawsuit also alleges that Leighton had an oral agreement with her to pay her $10,000 a month for life, which Leighton says is not true.

She says her mother threatened to file a $3 million lawsuit unless Leighton paid her the money and wants the judge to rule that there is no contract between them. (C) Cover Media
