Lindsay Lohan is reportedly an official suspect in another jewellery theft case.

The troubled actress was questioned by police last week after Sam Magid filed a report claiming over $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses were stolen from his Hollywood Hills home.

Sam threw an all-night party that Lindsay and her assistant Gavin Doyle attended when his possessions went missing.

TMZ reports that both Lindsay and Gavin are now formally suspects in the case.

Sam has recanted his story and now claims that nothing at all was stolen.

Despite his repudiation of events, authorities are still investigating the case, as they believe eyewitnesses can prove Lindsay and Gavin stole the goods.

Apparently Los Angeles Police Department detectives contacted Lindsay's lawyer today to request another interview, which the star's attorney denied.

The 26-year-old star found herself in hot water last year when she breached the terms of her probation stemming from her no contest plea in a necklace theft case.

If she is charged with theft again Lindsay will definitely go to jail.

Lindsay was also involved in a car crash this year in which she wrecked a hired Porsche on the Pacific Coast Highway.
