(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael and Dina Lohan have called each other "deadbeats" after their daughter Lindsay appeared in court this week.

The former couple have had several highly publicised feuds regarding parenting since their daughter Lindsay reached stardom nearly a decade ago. Now the squabbling pair have moved the battle to social media website Twitter, with Dina expressing her discontent with her former husband the same week that their daughter Lindsay visited court for a stern probation hearing.

"My x husband is a deadbeat dad so sad a father doesnt support his children (sic)!!!!" tweeted Dina.

Michael was enraged by that statement and swiftly contacted a news outlet to express his indignation. In an exclusive statement, Michael unleashes his true feelings about Dina.

"For Dina and her management team' to call me a deadbeat on twitter, not only do I have to laugh but prove what a deadbeat mother and person she is. What mother alienates her kids from their ONLY father and lies about him to her kids in order to drive a wedge between them (sic)," said Michael to X17 Online.

Michael also suggests that Dina is mismanaging Lindsay, which is adversely affecting his daughter's career. He has begged his daughter to open her eyes.

"Lindsay's management team let her SAG dues lapse, which put her in this position, tells me that it's all about them taking their money and leaving Lindsay out to dry. Is this another form of conservatorship, like the one imposed on Britney Spears, but without going to court?" said Michael. "WAKE UP LINDS, you know better (sic)."

Michael is determined to defend himself. He is set on speaking out if he feels he has been affronted.

"I have been quiet and even supportive of Dina, even when I knew better, but if she continues this, I wil be forced to address everthing she says (sic)!"

Dina and Lohan have yet to comment. (C) Cover Media
