Face is the book...
These are the days when youngsters meet online and become friends. Websites like Facebook, Twitter and Orkut help them a lot to connect and share. Apparently taking a cue from this trend, director B Jaya has come out with Lovely. After making a decent debut with Prema Kavali, Sai Kumar's son Aadhi is back with Lovely. He delivers a commendable performance, be it romantic or emotional scenes. But his efforts go haywire as the script is confusing, especially in the second half.
Jaya, who has managed to zero in on a novel knot, fails to deliver it as a complete and convincing package. As a result, despite strengths like artistes' performance and technical values, Lovely fails to impress big time.
Akash (Aadhi) is friend with Kittu (Vennela Kishore), while Lovely (Sanvi) is friends with Lalli (Chinmayi). Kittu and Lalli become friends with each other on Facebook, and one day, they decide to meet. But Akash and Lovely meet under the disguise of Kittu and Lalli, respectively. They fall for each other. But Lovely's father (Rajendra Prasad) is not so happy with his daughter's decision. What's next is the crux of the film.
Aadhi adds big strength to the movie with his performance. Sanvi is cute and emotes well too. Vennela Kishore is almost like second lead, so is Chinmayi. Veteran Rajendra Prasad delivers goods as a loving father. A long list of actors, including Ahuti Prasad, Ghatrazu, Harsha Vardhan, Anchal, Rahul Dev, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Tanikella, Kasi Viswanath, Vinaya Prasad, Master Prem, Tanishka and Satya Krishnan are also there.
Music by Anup Rubens is good, especially songs. Cinematography by S Arunkumar is cool. Shyam Manohar has penned youthful dialogues. Director Jaya, who has taken care of editing department too, has tried to present the movie crisp. But where the director fails is screenplay, especially in the second half. Disjointed scenes distant the audience from the film. But we should say that first half is decent and enjoyable.
