(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mark Wahlberg wants to take a crack at directing one day.

The 39-year-old Hollywood actor has starred in a host of top movies including Boogie Nights, I Heart Huckabees and The Departed, and has also produced film and television shows.

Mark is keen to branch into the realm of directing too, although he admits he wouldnt be comfortable helming a movie he was also starring in.

In the future Id definitely like to take a crack at it, he told MTV. At one point yeah. But I dont wanna direct myself in a movie.

The star thinks he wouldnt be able to cope with the pressure of taking on directing and acting roles simultaneously. Mark appears in upcoming movie The Fighter, which he also produced, so he already knows how tricky being involved in numerous aspects of a film can be.

I dont have the ability to be that multitasked, producing was tough enough, he added.

Mark is immensely proud of the drama, which looks at the early years of boxer "Irish" Micky Ward and his brother who supported him in training before becoming a professional in the mid 1980s.

The film also stars Amy Adams and Christian Bale, and Mark admits he took real punches and really fought in the gritty work. (C) Cover Media
