(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matt Damon has credited his "love of acting" to his education.

The Bourne Identity star is supporting an American campaign to improve the standard of US schools and has spoken out about the importance of good teaching.

Taking part in a Save Our Schools march, the Harvard-taught actor, who is a father to four children himself, claimed his education shaped his life for the better.

"My imagination, my love of acting, my passion for writing, my love of learning, my curiosity. All of these things came by the way I was parented and taught," he told ET Online.

Matt also revealed that as he's grown older, he truly appreciates the importance of good schooling.

Talking with his former high school teacher by his side, the Oscar winner said he would like every child to benefit from the same level of education he had.

"I feel more and more appreciative every day for the teachers that I had and the older that I get, the more it really sinks in how lucky I was and I want that for every kid," he said. (C) Cover Media
