(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Morrison is surprised to have a hunky body because his father has a big ol belly.

The 32-year-old American actor-and-singer sets female pulses racing with his role in hit US musical comedy series Glee, and last year confirmed his heartthrob status by appearing topless on the cover of the December issue of Details magazine.

Matthew is baffled as to where his buff physique comes from though, as he admits his father is rather chubby.

"I don't do anything to get the abs," he is quoted as saying. It's not even genetic because my dad's got a big 'ol belly on him.

Matthew finds it frustrating when people quiz him on his workout regime, as he doesnt have one. However, he does admit that years of working in musical theatre have required him to spend hours at a time throwing shapes which is a great way to burn calories.

People keep asking me what I do to get the abs but I don't know what to tell them," he mused.

"I run a lot and of course I've always danced but I don't do anything special. (C) Cover Media
