(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Morrison says the cast of Glee get "hammered" by Jane Lynch's character on set.

The 32-year-old actor-and-singer stars as teacher Will Schuester in hit US musical comedy series Glee, while Jane plays fearsome cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester.

The larger-than-life character is renowned for her withering one-liners and the caustic comments she makes to her co-workers and students alike.

Matthew says no-one is safe from her wrath.

"No," he laughed when asked if Sue Sylvester's jibes ever upset him in real life. "And before you mention it, I don't think I have a chin like a butt! Y'know, no one gets away unscathed on the show. Everyone gets hammered."

Matthew has won a legion of fans since starring as unassuming teacher Mr. Schuester. The curly-haired star says he is definitely a lot "cooler" than his character.

"I mean, I am a nice guy but every nice guy has his bad days! I like to think I'm edgier than goody-two-shoes Mr. Schu," he told We Love Pop magazine. "I'm definitely cooler and I dress cooler than Mr. Schu too."

Matthew attended the Orange County High School for the Arts, where he majored in dance. The athletic star was sometimes bullied for partaking in classes, but soon put everyone to rights with his impressive sporting skills.

"Yeah [I was bullied]. But I was very athletic too so if I got picked on, I'd get onto the pitch and throw a football further than most of those guys," he said. (C) Cover Media
