A tale of comical cute pleasant monsters

Hotel Transylvania boasting a voice cast led by Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez serves up a chuckle on and off but the 3D glasses really don't bring nothing to the party.

Dracula (Sandler) the over protective daddy is having trouble protecting his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) on the eve of her 118th birthday from outside elements.

Dracula is resolute to shut himself off from external elements( humans) after the death of his wife a century or so earlier at the hands of a livid mob. Dracula had constructed a safe haven of an exclusive castle where he and his monstrous breed could feel free to be themselves. Almost immediately monsters of all shapes and sizes turns up for the gothic Mavis birthday revelry.

Dracula just couldn't let his wings rest as he is filled with fury when a party crasher turns up in the form of Jonathan (Samberg), a human backpacker who catches Mavis eye,

Director Tartakovsky's approach to the characters and story are fairly simple yet satisfying, it emits energy and a substance of style. The additional characters sums up the fun with comical lines and gestures.

Mark Mothersbaugh's lively score adds a ghastly cool liveliness that will let you thump your feet as you boogie along with the sociable Dracula's.

The film is packed with excitement, from a visual standpoint it is also an absolute delight thanks to the appropriately moody and distinctive characters, clearly the ideal choice to illustrate a story about human and Dracula's serenely.

The film is here to stay and kids will completely enjoy the monster-human connection, it will be a contentment for adults too.
