17th August 2016

Nargis Fakhri, who was recently in news for quitting Bollywood returned to India just a few days back after she winded up her Hollywood commitments. Currently the actress is in India to promote her upcoming film 'Banjo' with Riteish Deshmukh. Nargis recently became a victim of credit card fraud as someone has transacted a huge sum of money from her account. Around Rs. 6 lacs were transacted from her account while she was unaware about it.

Nargis received a message from the credit card issuing bank stating that a transaction of $9,062 took place after which she recorded her statement with Juhu police station about the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police Satynarayan Chaudary did not got more deets on this case. He said "It's too early to say anything. The crime seems to be a case of data theft, said a police source. We suspect the fraud might have been committed outside India as the transaction is in dollars. We are trying to ascertain the point of sale, location and other details."

Though the case incharge gave the media this piece of information, Nargis remained unavailable for the comment.
