Nawazuddin Siddiqui's 'Manjhi - The Mountain Man' to go tax free in Bihar

The Bihar government has decided that Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte starrer upcoming film 'Manjhi - The Mountain Man' will become tax free in the state.

The decision was taken at the meeting of State Cabinet chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as this film is based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, a poor labourer from Bihar who carved a path through a mountain over the course of 22 years so that his village can get medical facilities easily.

Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Co-ordination Department, Shishir Kumar Sinha said, "The cabinet said the movie is based on the life of real hero Manjhi, whose inspirational story tells that a person can do the biggest work with determination even when resources are scarce. It encourages the viewers to see human life in the right perspective and inspires them, as well as, the society."

The film is scheduled for a 21st August release.
