Nina Dobrev's engagement rumours are "not true at all."

The Vampire Diaries actress was said to have rejected a marriage proposal from boyfriend Ian Somerhalder over the holidays.

Nina absolutely refutes these claims.

"The rumours are not true at all," Nina told Access Hollywood. "I'd be wearing a ring if they were."

The proposal did not happen and 23-year-old Nina is not at all interested in marrying anytime soon.

"I mean, that's not my [style]," Nina explained. "I'm young. I'm really young. It's not like back in the day where you have to get married and have your children by 18."

Nina is focused on maturing professionally at the moment. Love is not her number one priority.

"I'm a career woman and a young, very driven woman, and I've got a lot I have to accomplish before I settle down and have kids and do any of that," Nina said.

Nina and Ian went public with their romance in June 2011.
