Nithya Menon is all set to be part of a 'first-of-its-kind' movie in Mollywood, which revolves around the life of a girl who is unaware that she is living in a television show which is is broadcasted throughout the world, with millions watching it.

Titled 'Thalasamayam Oru Pennkutty', the film by T K Rajeev Kumar will have the 'Nootrenbadhu' and 'Veppam' actress playing the lead role. 'She accepted the offer since she found her role very interesting and meaty,' sources say.

Script for the film has been provided by Manuel George, in association with Sunny Joseph. The movie will also have Shweta Menon playing a crucial role. Cinematography is by Rajeev, who grabbed the limelight for shooting an entire film (Ivar) on a steadycam.

'Nithya Menon plays a rural belle who is selected from among 12 others for a unique reality show on a popular television channel. Her everyday life is broadcasted everyday for a month and a surprise awaits her at the end', sources say.
