The trend of performing their own stunts was popularized by stars like Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. And now, the latest to join the list is Aditya Roy Kapur.
The actor, who was seen playing supporting roles in films like 'Action Replayy' and 'Guzaarish', will soon make his debut as a lead in Bhatt's upcoming production 'Aashiqui 2'.
Apparently, while shooting for a particular scene, Aditya refused to use a body double for a stunt. The scene was to be shot on a balcony of the 21st floor, and when the film's director Mohit Suri asked for a body double to shoot the scene, the actor urged that he would like to perform his own stunt and that too without a safety harness.
The scene was setup to be shot in a tall tower in Cape Town. Although Mohit was initially skeptical of the actor doing the scene, Aditya insisted and finally managed to convince the director. When the scene was shot, everyone went gaga over Aditya's performance and the confidence with which he had performed the sequence.
'Aashiqui 2' produced under the banner of Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. and Vishesh Films, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, is expected to hit the big screen this May.
