Lovely star Premkumar, after 'Nenapirali, Jothe Jotheyali, Honganasu, Pallakki', was fortunate to get a female fan following, like Golden star Ganesh got, after 'Mungaru Male'. Premkumar was accepting soft, music oriented films. He is now doing an action packed film 'Shatru', that recently went on the floors, on his birthday. He is playing a cop in this film. This is one Premkumar film where he is not romancing the heroine. Dimple Chopra, of one song fame in 'Kote', is the heroine of 'Shatru'.

It was Premkumar's father's wish for his son to become a cop. At least on screen, Premkumar is fulfilling his father's dream.
