Bodyguard, one of the biggest Malayalam hits of 2010, is being remade in Telugu, with Venkatesh as the hero, Bellamkonda Srinivas as its producer and Gopichand 'Don Seenu' as the director.

Dileep and Nayanthara had played the lead roles in the Malayalam Bodyguard, and Vijay and Asin were the lead pair of its Tamil remake, 'Kavalan', also a huge box office success. The latest buzz, as regards the Telugu remake, is that post the failed attempt to rope in actress Ileana for this movie, Srinivas has signed on Trisha. This will make the Telugu version of 'Bodyguard' the third time combination of Venkatesh and Trisha, after 'Adavari Matalaku', 'Ardale Verule' and 'Namo Venkatesa'.

In fact, Trisha will be working in another film with Venkatesh, under the direction of Teja, which is yet to start shooting.

Interestingly, 'Bodyguard' is also being remade in Bollywood with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
