(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Patrick Swayze's mother has spoken out for the first time since losing her son.
Patsy Swayze, 84, has covered her home in family photos of him and has a framed portrait of the Dirty Dancing star with his favourite horse on her wall.
Although it has been two years since the actor passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer, Patsy says she has not been able to watch any of his famous movies.
"I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch them again," she told Britain's Daily Mirror while wiping a tear. "It hurts too much."
"You know you're not supposed to outlive your children. I still find it so hard to talk about his passing, but, you know, he was so brave."
The second anniversary of Patrick's death falls on September 14 and the devoted mother wanted to pay tribute to her son who had amazing courage and strength while battling the disease.
"He kept working right up until the day he couldn't work anymore and he never complained," she shared.
Dancing With The Stars hunk Derek Hough is reportedly in the running to play the lead character in a remake of the classic 1987 film. (C) Cover Media
