Pauly D and 50 Cent fight extreme poverty'

12th July 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - DJ Pauly D and his colleague 50 Cent have partnered up to promote "the SK movement."

50 Cent's energy drink company SK Energy is a business that provides meals to millions of impoverished children.

Pauly D is deeply moved by the mission of 50 Cent's company.

The Jersey Shore store will support his G-Unit Records label mate in his efforts and is now a brand advocate and investor in the product.

"I love the energy of SK, it's perfect for someone like me," Pauly wrote in a press release to MTV News.

"But what really got me involved was hearing about the SK movement, and how every shot sold provides a meal to a hungry child in some of the world's most difficult environments. I've been so blessed in my own career, and an opportunity to fight extreme poverty in such a simple way is something I really wanted to be part of."

SK Energy sells beverages that provide drinkers with energy boosts without the foul side effects of similar goods.

Since the business' launch last year, SK has served over 3.5 million meals to famished children. 50 is working with the UN World Food Programme to deliver the repasts. (C) Cover Media
