(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Cruise "did nothing in the agreement to hide anything", his lawyer asserts.

Katie Holmes filed for divorce from the actor at the end of June and the former couple have recently reached a settlement on their annulment.

It is unconfirmed why Katie, who shares six-year-old daughter Suri with Tom, decided to terminate their relationship.

Tom's attorney Bert Fields dismisses claims that his client came to terms quickly because he was afraid of the secrets Katie might divulge about their marriage.

"Tom had nothing to hide and did nothing in the agreement to hide anything," he told TMZ. "People are just making this stuff up."

Tom's primary concern was how much time he would get to spend with Suri.

"Tom will definitely have a meaningful relationship with his daughter, but I can't talk about specifics of the agreement," Bert said. "[Tom is] pleased we could work out how Suri will be treated and dealt with."

Katie blindsided the Mission Impossible star when she filed for divorce two weeks ago while he was filming scenes for his movie Oblivion in Iceland.

Bert believes Tom is coping as well as he can with the break-up.

"I don't think Tom is bitter. He's sad it came to this," he revealed. "The media firestorm which is replete with bogus information is unpleasant for him."
