Prabhu Deva, who recently agreed to do a cameo in his good friend Prakash Raj's maiden directorial venture in Tamil, titled Dhoni, is currently shooting for it in Puducherry.

"Shooting a song with Prabhudeva in a cameo role for our bilingual film 'Dhoni' in pondy (Pondicherry). Enjoying filmmaking. Every moment of it. Cheers!!!" wrote Prakash Raj on his microblogging page.

On why he became a director with Dhoni, Prakash Raj says, "With so much experience, acting in more than 200 films and producing good number of movies, I don't want my knowledge to go waste. So I decided to wield the megaphone. Dhoni is a story which would convey that life is beautiful."

Dhoni, produced by Prakash Raj himself, is a film about a father who wants his son to do well academically and the son who wants to be a cricketer. The film is expected to release in Telugu and Tamil by the end of this year.
