(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Preston credits Scientology with helping her overcome her grief.

The 48-year-old says she was struggling with the loss of her 16-year-old son Jett and credits the religion with helping her through the tough time.

Kelly's son, with actor John Travolta, lost his life due to a seizure in January 2009.

She opened up in the September issue of Health magazine about how her religion helped her through her loss.

"To be honest, [it was] the Scientology Center," Kelly shared. "I don't know if I would have made it through without it."

Kelly and John have been Scientologists for twenty years, along with other famous celebrity members including Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

"Don't sweat the small things," Kelly said she learned from her experience. "Love your kids like it could be the last moment."

The couple, who are also parents to 11-year-old daughter Ella Blue, welcomed their new baby Benjamin Hunter Kaleo in November last year.

"We [had been trying] for quite a few years," Kelly revealed. "When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I'd snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful."

The former child star said that she "always wanted to be a mother" even from the age of 11.

"I was doing commercials for thousands of dollars, but I'd still babysit for $3 an hour just because I loved it," she admitted. (C) Cover Media
