The first ever superstar of Bollywood,
Rajesh Khanna passed away a year ago. And on his anniversary today, an honour will be presented to the legend.
A brass statue of the superstar will be unveiled at the 'Walk of the Stars' at Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai.
The legend's statue which will immortalise one of his iconic poses and will be placed alongside prominent personalities like
Yash Chopra,
Dev Anand and
Raj Kapoor.
The installation of the statue will however take place early next month.
Rajesh Khanna, the first superstar of Indian cinema gave 15 consecutive solo hit films during his golden period from 1969-72, a record that remains unbroken till today.
