Bollywood's most infamous and ugly spat between directors in recent times, is the war of words between drama filmmaker Karan Johar and reality filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. It all started with Ramu passing derogatory comments over Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Alvida naa Kehna', as he called his super flop horror film 'Phoonk' better than the Karan's blockbuster 'KANK'! This was followed by back and forth comments by the directors who were masters of their own craft.

Ramu is known for his off-beat yet commercial cinema and Karan is known for his 'clich drama films' that portrays larger than life stories. Karan is termed the 'King of Romance' as far as his love stories are concerned, Ramu is a Ruler of Reality films on his own turf. Ramu, with his upcoming film 'Not a Love Story', has openly challenged Karan in his own territory. He has recently stated that his film 'Not a Love Story' is the answer to Karan's love stories.

We all know that Karan Johar's candy floss love stories are far from what Ramu is all set to showcase in his forthcoming film 'A love Story', that revolves around the real life murder mystery that involved model-cum-actress Maria Susairaj, who killed her former boyfriend with the help of a current one.
