'Rangam', the Jiiva-Karthika starrer directed by K V Anand, has completed a successful 50-day run in theatres in Andhra Pradesh. The film, about a photojournalist, is the dubbed version of the Tamil blockbuster 'Ko'.
"The film is a genuine hit in both Kollywood and Tollywood and it is the biggest grosser of Kollywood in 2011, so far. All the theatre owners who have released the movie are extremely happy with the revenues," says a trade analyst. "A credible and convincing performance from Jiiva, Karthika, Piaa and Ajmal, among others, contributed a lot to the movie's success," he adds.
Jiiva, who is basking in the glory of 'Rangam''s success and is keen to continue his good run, says, 'I am choosing films carefully, because I would like to show some difference and improvement in each film of mine.'
