(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon says training with an elephant reduced her to screaming.
The Oscar-winning actress plays circus performer Marlena in new movie Water for Elephants, which also stars Robert Pattinson.
The Hollywood beauty trained intensively for her most recent role and worked with an elephant for some of the movies most breathtaking scenes.
Reese was honoured to be trusted with doing all her own stunts, but was sometimes daunted by working with such a massive creature.
It was a great honour and privilege to do the movie because Im a fan of the book, and then I got this rare opportunity to work with an elephant for three months. It was amazing, she said in an interview with BBC Breakfast. It is startling and disorientating. I screamed. The first time she picked me up I was terrified. Shes 12ft. tall and 9,000lbs. I thought she would crush me!
The 35-year-old star hopes to keep in contact with her animal co-star. Reese appreciated working alongside the elephant and her trainers and its an experience shell never forget.
I hope so, she said, when asked if she was hoping to have an on-going relationship with the elephant. She was incredible, and so were her trainers. She lives about an hour south of my home in LA so I plan on meeting up.
The recently married star also spoke about the recent royal wedding, where Britains Prince William married Catherine Middleton. She watched it in Paris and envied the attention the bride received on her big day. Reese married agent Jim Toth 40, at her Californian ranch in an intimate ceremony in March.
I got married about two weeks before Kate Middleton. I didnt have billions of people watching though. Only 100! she joked. (C) Cover Media
