And hence, thinking of her as a grandmother is the last thought that can strike anyone's mind. But it is a fact that she has been signed to play a grandmother's role in filmmaker Indra Kumar's next film where Sharman Joshi plays the lead.

Rekha plays Sharman's grandmother in the film which revolves around the relationship between the two. The movie is slated to go on the floors in January and will be shot in Mumbai and Dubai.

Though, the film revolves around a relationship, it still has elements of humor in it. Sharman plays a US-returned boy who is close to his grandmother. Randhir Kapoor will be seen playing Sharman's grandfather.

Talking about working with Rekha, Sharman is quite excited. "I'm looking forward to working with her. She is extremely versatile and one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema," said Sharman.
