Remake of 'Chupke Chupke' for Rajkummar on cards

Movie remakes and recreation of popular numbers is back in fashion. Most recent example is the 'Jawani' song from 'Student Of The Year 2' is the recreated version of 'Jawani Deewani'; whereas Bhushan Kumar teaming with Luv Ranjan for remake of 'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' starring Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan.

Soon actor Rajkummar Rao might also join the league. The actor has been considered to reprise the role of Dharmendra of profession Parimal tripathi in the remake of 1975 comic-caper 'Chupke Chupke'. 

'Chupke Chupke' saw Dharmendra as a full time professor of Botany who pretends of being a chauffeur to deceive his brother-in-law who is a well-known lawyer. 

'Chupke Chupke' itself is a remake of Bengali film 'Chhadmabeshi' of Uttam Kumar and Madhabi Mukherjee. Meanwhile only Rajkummar has been in the news for this remake, the movie also has some prominent characters which were played by Keshto Mukherjee, David, Lily Chakravarty, Asrani, Usha Kiran and Om Prakash. 

A close source shares, "Chupke Chupke is an iconic film and a favourite of many, including Rajkummar. He loved the idea of a remake and had agreed to come on board. It will have Raj in the dual avatars. Thr script is still being finalised, while the director and the rest of the cast are yet to be locked but the team is really excited about this one."
