(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rupert Grint doesn’t “regret” starring in the Harry Potter movies, but admits he didn’t get to do a lot of things because of them.
The actor plays Ron Weasley in the wizard film franchise, and recently finished shooting the final instalment. He has decided to take some time off to consider what direction he wants his career to go in, and admits being blown away by some of his co-star’s choices. Daniel Radcliffe, who portrays Harry, stripped off on stage for Equus in both London and New York, and Rupert says the thought of appearing nude terrifies him.
“I don’t regret it but I’ve missed out on a lot of things,” he explained. “I don’t know if I’d go naked on stage though.”
Rupert, 22, has appeared in other films, but has been amazed by how difference the experience was to shooting Harry Potter. His movie Cherrybomb was released earlier this year and saw him transform into troubled teen Malachy, who spends most of his time drinking alcohol, taking drugs, stealing cars and having sex.
“It’s quite scary now Harry Potter has finished and we’re out in the real world,” Rupert told British newspaper The Daily Express. “The last day was emotional. I wasn’t prepared for the tears! In the dressing rooms, we used to play table tennis and write on the walls.” (C) Cover Media
