(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rupert Grint is "overwhelmed" with a feeling of freedom now his long-standing role in the Harry Potter movies is coming to an end.

The 22-year-old has played Ron Weasley for more than half his life and told Parade magazine that he will find it challenging to adjust to life away from the character.

It has not quite sunk in that it's all over and upcoming release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is the final film in the hugely successful franchise.

"It's still quite a strange thing to come to terms with, just the fact that we won't be coming back next year. It really is the end. I'm not usually sentimental with stuff like that, but it has been a huge part of our lives, and it just feels really sudden that it's all coming to an end. This feeling of freedom is quite overwhelming," he shared.

As for the future, he is unlikely to be the next big action hero.

"I'm not the most physical person. I don't go to the gym or anything like that. And running is something I rarely ever do," Rupert said. "But the stunts are good fun, and this film was just full of that, just being chased by things. It was really cool."

But one thing he won't miss is the make-up he had to wear for part of the final picture. The star was made to look older than he is, something he found amazing.

"It was quite satisfying at the end of the day, ripping all the make-up and stuff off and instantly becoming younger," he said. "I suppose in 20 years' time I'm not going to be able to do that! It was good fun, but it's a weird thing to get your head around." (C) Cover Media
