October 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Details about the upcoming epic wedding of Katy Perry and Russell Brand are trickling in.
On Wednesday, the British comedian and American pop star arrived at Jaipur- the place where the ceremony will be taking place.
Since the couple arrived at Jaipur, Perrys family members her father, brother and sister have been spotted around the town, along with Brands mom Barbara.
The six-day long celebration kicks off on Saturday, when the couple will tie the knot in the Hindu Vedic ritual way, conducted by a local priest at Sher Bagh resort, said Mohan Sing, the manager of Rajasthan Tours, one of several local companies involved in organizing the event.
As we have reported previously, the wedding will be a colorful Rajasthan event, with bride and groom donning Indian wedding attire.
The luxury resort, where the wedding will take place is located in the outskirts of the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary a place well-known for its population of tigers, leopards, wild bears, hyenas and sloth bears. The sanctuary, about 80 miles from the pink city of Jaipur, also claims several beautiful lakes and a 10th century fort as well.
The couple has hired 13 vehicles to take their guests on tours to the sanctuary, during their stay after the wedding.
Brand and Perry will be staying in a luxury tent at the Aman-i-khas resort, just outside the sanctuary, while the guests will be staying at nearby resorts of Vaniyavilas and Sher Bagh, Mohan Sing informed.
Private security is already stationed at the hotels, though, the local police authority denied of having any information of the impending event.
A London magazine holds the exclusive rights for the coverage of the event, and the couple has decided not to allow any other media into the resort to protect their privacy.
Katy has even gone one step further to keep the ceremony as much personal and private as possible by pleading to her fans on twitter: TWIT BREAK: Greatest gift you can give us is respect and love during the private time. No use wasting our time with STOLEN or FALSE info. Thank you for this.
We will keep you posted on this with more details.
