The outrageous British comic famously battled addictions to sex and drugs before he settled down with Katy. The pair are engaged and set to tie the knot very soon, in a ceremony believed to be taking place in India. When they first began dating, many were surprised at the blossoming romance due to Russells wild past and Katy having such religious parents. However, Russell insists he has formed a close bond with the pop stars mother and father, revealing they actually have a lot in common.
Her dad is really lovely. He is more on the rocker biker side of preaching, he explained in an interview with British television programme This Morning. She encountered the dedication at the same time as she read a quote about whether I minded if Katy was a pop star, he said. I had been interviewed on a show and I said, No I think its fantastic, and if she wasnt I would have to find another pop star which would be OK, I would probably phone Lady Gaga and I know she would answer because she always has that phone on her head.
That was a joke, but when it was written down it looked like a statement. Katy was like, What did you say? What is this thing I have just seen?
