Russell Brand is reportedly "too intense" for Geri Halliwell.

The British comedian and former Spice Girls star are rumoured to be dating after they met at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.

Despite claims they bonded over a love of yoga, their fledgling romance is now thought to be stuttering.

"Things are already cooling off," a source told British newspaper The Sunday Mirror. "Russell's way into very intense spiritual readings that are just too much, even for Geri. He is way too intense, full stop."

Friends of the pair don't expect their relationship to continue long although they think it has been good for the pair.

"It will be yoga, sex and fizz, but it won't last the distance. He's off back to LA soon and she's not planning on going with him," the insider said.

The two stars aren't the only famous faces with romantic problems. Florence Welch has reportedly ended her romance with James Nesbitt due to the pressures of work.

"Flo knows she really needs to concentrate on her career and couldn't really give the relationship the time it needed to work. So they split," a source told the publication.
