(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Russell Crowe was "buzzing" after a trip to Jay-Z and Kanye West's recording session.
The two rappers have been in Australia recording new material together, and 47-year-old movie star Russell, who resides Down Under, decided to pay the hip-hop moguls a visit.
The actor is also a gifted musician, having enjoyed a rock career in New Zealand in the 80s, so was thrilled to get the opportunity to hang out with rap royalty. He even earned himself a name check in one of their future hits.
"Russell went to see them at the mansion they are renting, which has a studio, and stayed for their recording session," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"Jay-Z and Kanye played him a few tracks from their new album and Russell - being a musician himself - loved it. He even earned himself a mention on one of their songs.
"He was buzzing about the experience afterwards."
Meanwhile, Jay-Z was reportedly meant to meet up with another A-list celebrity recently. According to New York Post, the rapper had to miss a meal with soccer star David Beckham at Manhattan's Ciano on Monday night so that he could make a surprise appearance at swanky venue the Highline Ballroom to perform with Kanye West at a Young Jeezy concert. Apparently David dined with his soccer pals instead. A representative for Jay-Z and Ciano restaurant did not comment. (C) Cover Media
