Russell Crowe convinced a film crew member he was in fact a Russian tap dancer when he was mistaken for a "location assistant" on set.
The Australian actor is currently filming the new musical movie Les Misrables which is a big screen adaption of Victor Hugo's classic book.
Russell - who plays Inspector Javert in the film - was wrongly mistaken for a crew assistant while hanging out in between shooting, so decided to have fun with the false identity.
"bloke on set are you a location assistant? I reply no,I'm a tap dancer with the russian ballet' oh' he says' you don't sound Russian' (sic)" he shared on his personal Twitter page.
Les Misrables also stars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Amanda Seyfried and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Set photos were released today, showing Anne sporting her newly cropped hair for her part as Fantine - who sells her long tresses as part of her efforts to pay for the care of her illegitimate daughter Cosette.
Anne was spotted singing alongside leading man Hugh - who plays Jean Valjean in the upcoming picture.
The movie is slated to be released worldwide from December 2012.
