The war has already started and the first round has begun. Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are trying hard to get the best out of October 2, 2013.

As it was reported earlier, Salman wants to release his forthcoming film 'Mental' on October 2 (read news). This date is already fixed by Ranbir Kapoor for his film 'Besharam' directed by Abhinav Kashyap.

Not sure if Ranbir is worried that Salman might steal his light, but the former is taking every step to ensure that he doesn't lose on his stardom.

It is heard that with Ranbir's help, the producers have struck a huge deal worth 8 crores with Pepsi, the brand endorsed by the actor. The cola company will officially partner the film from branding to marketing during its release.

Abhinav and Ranbir are doing everything they can to add power to their project. Knowing that Salman is a bigger star and his films always cater to the masses, they do not want to take any risks.
