23rd January 2012

Sean Kingston has moved out of his Miami home after being too "traumatised" to sleep there.

The 21-year-old singer was involved in a horrific jet ski accident in the city last year, which left him fighting for his life in hospital.

Although he is now recovered the star has apparently struggled to get over what happened to him.

"Sean Kingston was so traumatised by his horrific jet ski accident in Miami last year... he couldn't sleep in the city without having nightmares - so he moved his ass across the coast... into a massive Hollywood Hills mansion," reports TMZ.

The website claims Sean was struggling to get a good night's rest in his Miami home. He apparently couldn't bear to hear the sound of the sea as it reminded him of what he went through.

He has now ditched the home he rented in the area and moved into an impressive mansion in Los Angeles.

His new home is said to be a "palace" which boasts its own swimming pool and gym as well as a home cinema with enough room for 25 people.

The accident happened last May, when the jet ski Sean and a woman were on hit a bridge and he suffered a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water on the lungs. He had multiple operations while in hospital and his condition was described as "life or death".

The incident had a profound effect on Sean. He lost 45lbs. and has vowed to continue dieting, and it's also impacted his music.

"Basically, I learned that in life anything can happen and you have to count your blessings and worship God, and believe in God," he said. "And know that anything can happen, so you have to be cautious about what you do."
