(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Selena Gomez wants to record an album in Spanish to make her family proud.

The American singer-and-actress is very close to her family, who are incredibly supportive of her career. Her father Ricardo Gomez is Mexican American, and Selena knows it would mean a lot to him if she laid down a Spanish record one day. She has already sung in the language, but has made it her goal to create an entire LP of Spanish tracks.

I have Shakiras [bilingual] album and exactly what she did is my dream, Selena said. I feel like for my family it would make them really proud.

But because I have so many other things... I have to perfect it. I want my dad to come out and make sure Im doing it right. So I want to take time with it, but its my dream to put out an entire album in Spanish.

Selena has been linked to pop heartthrob Justin Bieber after they were seen at a high school football game together. The star refused to comment on the nature of their relationship, but was only too happy to explain what was going on in a photo of the two she was presented with.

Im trying to convince Justin to eat my food, because he wouldnt eat anything and I was eating nachos and a corn dog and I was like, Why is no one eating? she laughed to talk show host George Lopez. (C) Cover Media
